History

Comes Maschinen- und Apparatebau  GmbH was founded in the year 1967 in a small blacksmith forge in Zemmer at Trier.

In the beginning the traditional economical points have been the industry and the building sector in this region.  Following the increase in the industry and thus in an increase of request, the expansion of the company Comes was attached to the needs of the regional industry.

Especially in the sectors industry of welding, tobacco industry, manufacture of tires and accumulators, our company obtained so much know-how, that during the years the circle of customers grew largely above the area of Trier.

After obtaining the "Certificate of Aptitude" in the sectors of application DIN18800 part 7 paragraph 6.2 and DIN 15018 "Cranes, Steel structure", as well as the examination procedure after EN 288-3 for treatment and welding of high strength fine grain construction steel S690QL/S890QL/S960QL/S1100QL as also certification after DIN EN ISO 3834-2 “quality requirements with regard to welding and AD HP 0 2000-Guideline by Germanischen Lloyd, new branches in the economy of construction of machines and heavy industry opened for our company.

In July 2009 the production site at Montanstrasse 12 in port area of Trier was completed. In this location in the meantime we can easily handle piece weights up to 200 t. Our established company employs at it locations in Seiferstraße at Trier-Ehrang and Montanstraße in the port of Trier, approximately 100 highly qualified employees. Our company ground includes 60.000 square meters beside halls and office buildings.
